Trip to Sabah; The Story (Part 5)~LAST DAY!!!

After breakfast, we went to our rooms, to get our luggages, and check that we did not leave anything in the hotel, went to the lobby. <--That was our start of DAY 5. We checked out at about...maybe 8-9 plus. We headed to the airport, checked in our luggages, and said goodbye to our guide and bus driver..(SOUNDS FAMILIAR, HUH!!) I even got the name of our guide's Facebook name. We then headed to the waiting room, to wait to board the plane. Yup, when we boarded the plane, it was the same process, the TV shows were the same, ALEX sat next to me, and treated me as a pillow; as in, HE SLEPT ON ME!!! EWW!!

Anyway, I enjoyed the trip so much, and I MISS SABAH!!~

*THE END(of story)*
Hope You Enjoyed It!!~

Trip To Sabah; The Story (Part 4)

(Sorry, these last two parts, part 4 and part 5, no pictures will be posted, as I didn't take pictures of these two days, my camera was spoilt :'( BUT! When I receive the pictures, I will immediately post it up. Thanks for your cooperation :) )

We started DAY 4 by waking up early, and having a yummy breakfast, before heading to view Mt. Kinabalu. On the way to Mt. Kinabalu, it took us about 2 hr to reach there, so all of us played on the bus. It was so, really fun!!
When we reached Mt. Kinabalu, it was high up in the clouds, so it was very, very cold. It was even higher than Genting Highlands in Malaysia, West Malaysia, in fact. Sabah, or Kota Kinabalu, in fact, was in the East. Some of us had to use the toilet. UNFORTUNATELY, the toilets were so, so dirty and smelly, and inside the cubicles, there grew moss and bugs were everywhere!!! I was so disgusted, but I had to use the loo! But it wasn't that bad after all..(I guess..)
We had lunch nearby, still in the clouds, at Fairy Garden Restaurant, but of course, no fairies were present.. The teachers complimented us by letting us by ice-creams that were sold there (stick ice-creams/cone ice-creams).
After, we headed to National Kota Kinabalu Park. It was really hot there, because it was not in the clouds, anymore...My whole body was sweating!!
Anyways,  we started our canopy walk!! It was awesome, although we were so hot(warm). There were 4 suspension bridges that we needed to cross. It was really scary, 'cus it was really high up. YAY! WOOTS! Oops..I guess I was too early to cheer, huh. Anyways, after the tiring walk, we went to take a dip(only our feets) in the hot spring!! Woo! Yeah! It rocked!!

We bought handicrafts..too.

We went back to the hotel for a short break, and after, we went to eat diner at a seafood restaurant, and it was kinda like the best meal with the best food...EVER!! WHOOO!!
We headed back to the hotel once again, and slept the night through, for the last night there, in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.......................

Trip to Sabah; The Story (Part 3)

That day was Day 3; a beautiful day to do CIP~
We    I woke up early  Me and my room buddy woke up before the wake up call by the hotel, watched TV, chatted with our friends next door, and went down to eat breakfast with teachers, and friends. After our yummy, delicious, scrumptious breakfast, we went to our 2nd school visit to SK Mutiara. Who knew? Our guide, Ms Mitch, used to be a student there! The headmaster of the school now, was her teacher last time. Wow, how time has past so fast! (*SOBS* I MISS SABAH!!) Anyways, they welcomed us with a beautiful entrance!! They'all played the 'gong-bang' (a Malay traditional drum/instrument) beautifully! The 'song' they played was what Malays would play on wedding occasions. And 2 students(boys) danced the lion dance!! I really admire them!! 2 other boys played the tune to the lion dance on the drums too! I admire them because they were so young, but did it like professionals!! After that, we performed for them too! Remember I told you earlier? We practiced a performance? Yep, we performed it! And in the end, they joined us. COOL. Yes, indeed, we had alot of F-U-
N!!

After, we had our lunch at Jaws Seafood Restaurant. Our group played 7-up, and Amir, one of my group mate, did the most number of forefeets, which is to do the chicken dance! LITERALLY the whole restaurant looked at him!! HMPH! Consider him lucky, only a table of people together with CKPS pupils were in the restaurant....

After lunch, we had a stroll around the mall(the restaurant was in a mall).

Then, we proceeded to Bukit Harapan Home(home for the needy).
The youngest member there was a 5-year old boy, nicknamed by the home called 'Ah Pui'.
His two brothers were there as well. But didn't take picture of them( teehee ).
Here are the members at the home;

(They performed for us too, and we performed for them too!)

We made bookmarks with them too! GUESS WHAT?! I WAS SO LUCKY, WITH 3 OTHER FRIENDS OF MINE, WE MADE BOOKMARKS WITH..........AH PUI!! Yaye! Here are pics of us together!!

Everybody was so sad to leave, because we all missed AH PUI!!!! :'( Haha no lah, JKJK.

We had dinner after, at Kampung Nelayan; Floating Seafood Market Restaurant.

We participated in the games and performances put up by dancers!! Among the WHOLE restaurant, most of the people who participated were CKPS STUDENTS!! *WHOOP, WHOOP!*
Yep again, we ended our day with a sweet sleep(PSST! WE DIDN'T LET THE BED BUGS BITE, TOO!!)

Trip to Sabah; The Story (Part 2)

Day 2:
First, we had a wake up call from the hotel to wake us up. But I woke up before the wake up call. Second, we dressed in our PE shirts and longs. Then we headed down to the lobby, waiting for the teachers. We had breakfast after. I was kinda glad or you can say, relieved, because it was buffet. So, yay! After breakfast, we headed to our first school visit, SK Sri Gaya, was the name of the school.
We were assigned buddies too, at the school. This is my buddy and me! >>>>>
We gave our buddies gifts, and didn't know that they prepared gifts for us too! (Hmph! But we gave them alot!!! Haha no but they are less fortuanate then us) After the school visit, we went to have lunch at a restaurant called Restoran Sri Melaka. Who knew? Ms Mitch was the chef~!
Then, we took a 2-3 hr journey to Klias(another city), and going there to take a river cruise. It was very hot there, when the sun was scorching, ESPECIALLY WE NEEDED TO WEAR LIFE JACKETS!! We went the around 1-2 PM plus, and went back to the hotel at 10 plus. Hehe, we could sleep at 11.30PM!!

During the trip, we saw proboscis monkeys. As the sun sets, fireflies appeared around the trees like christmas trees! Unfortunately, we couldn't capture the sight of fireflies and Proboscis Monkeys. There were many, many, MANY Stars up in the sky! In Singapore, not even a single star could be found!!!
And we ended the day with a good, night's sleep...........................................................................................

Trip to Sabah; The Story (Part 1)

On the 22nd May 2011, I woke up at 4.00-4.30 AM in the morning, and wore our P5 camp T-shirts, and longs. Me and SJ(my sister) each had a suitcase in our hands, and a hand-carry backpack, getting ready to leave the house at 5.30 AM, to school and assemble.
After taking attendance, we boarded the bus, heading to the airport. My father waved me goodbye on the bus, and I waved back, and a drop of tear rolled down my cheek.
When we reached the airport, we checked in our luggages, and after an hour or so standing, waiting, we went in the immigration place. After that, we went to Burger King and had a light snack, but we could also sit there, eat or drink nothing.

Then at 8.50 AM we boarded the plane. The plane we took was Silkair.

At 12.30 PM, the plane landed. We claimed our luggages, and met our tour-guide, Ms Mitch. Lunch was followed then.

After lunch, we went to the hotel, but not to check in, but only to put our luggages.
Then, we headed Monsopiad Cultural Village, to learn about this warrior, his legend was very famous to the Kadazandusun people there, in Sabah, Kota Kinabalu(KK) ; On the day Monsopiad was born, the same time he was born, a baby bird was born on the exact same time that Monsopiad was born, on Monsopiad's roof. So, whenever Monsopiad's Dad brings him to shower, the father of the baby bird will also bring the baby bird to shower. They believed that the bird brought him power. When Monsopiad was older, one of his greatest skills was; hunting human skulls. He hunted many many skulls, and the more skulls he hunted, the more boastful he was. Until one day, the villagers were so angry with Monsopiad, and tried to kill him, but failed. But no one knew, that even though they tried to kill Monsopiad but failed, Monsopiad lost his power. Then, one faithful day, the villagers again tried to kill Monsopiad, and this time, it was successful.*end of story*

Then, we went to the house of skulls Monsopiad hunted; a total of 42 skulls, but not all were present as some were broken. At the entrance of the house of skulls, there was a sign in Kadazandusun language, saying 'Sorry, ancestors'. But no spirits were in the house of skulls, because it happened over a 100 years ago, and was only a legend. After we went to the house of skulls, we had a go at the traditional games and dances.

There were still more we learnt there, but too many to actually write all to you guys, so these are ONLY a few out of many I learnt there. After going to Monsopiad Cultural Village, it was already about 45 min past 5 O'clock, and we headed back to the hotel.

When we reached the hotel, it was already 6.30 PM. We were assigned to a room, with a buddy. Then, we headed to our rooms. Once I entered my room, I WAS SO HAPPY! Because actually I wanted to partner my friend who is in another room, but our rooms had connected doors! And only our rooms! My sister's room didn't have connection doors, even all my friends. After the moment of glee, I took a shower. At 7.30 PM, we went down to the hotel to eat dinner.

After dinner, we had a little group discussion. Then, we headed back to our rooms, and chat with our buddies, and my friends in the other room connected to mine and by buddys', and at 10 PM, we slept.

And that was THE END, of Day 1...
